Finishing the Year Well - Mrs Natalie Cocks, Deputy Principal Primary
As we move toward the end of another school year, it’s a wonderful time to pause and reflect on the growth that has taken place across our College community. From our youngest learners to our graduating seniors, every student has taken important steps in their learning and faith journey.
Author and tween parenting expert Michelle Mitchell reminds us that growth often comes through challenge and reflection - by noticing how far we’ve come, we build resilience and confidence for the road ahead.
At CCC, we are committed to helping every child discover their God-given potential. This season provides the perfect opportunity to celebrate what has been achieved and to finish the year well - academically, socially, and spiritually.
- Kindy students are getting ready to take their first big step into Prep.
- Year 6 students are preparing to embrace the challenges and excitement of Secondary School.
- Senior students are sitting final exams and looking ahead to life beyond the College gates.
Each milestone is a reminder of God’s faithfulness and the steady growth that occurs when students are supported, encouraged, and guided with purpose.
As Galatians 6:9 reminds us, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Here are a few simple ways to help your child finish the term well:
- Reflect on the year - acknowledge growth, challenges, and highlights.
- Celebrate achievements, both big and small.
- Stay focused and complete remaining goals with diligence.
- Keep routines steady and make time for rest.
- Pray together and thank God for His goodness through every season.
Together, let’s finish strong - grateful for the journey, proud of the growth, and excited for all that God has planned for 2026.
