A message from our Business Manager, Paul Suffolk
In the Bible, connection is an integral part of living out our faith, a testament to the divine design of relationships.
From the very beginning, God fashioned humanity for connection, creating Eve as a companion for Adam, declaring, "It is not good for man to be alone" (Genesis 2:18). This marriage bond mirrors the connection we share with our Creator, who promises to never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).
Jesus lived out the essence of connection throughout His ministry, forging deep relationships with His disciples and all who crossed His path. He embodied empathy, compassion, and love, fostering genuine connections that crossed the manmade social barriers.
In 1 Corinthians 12, 12-14 12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by[c] one Spirit to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.
Paul portrays the interconnectedness of believers within the body of Christ, each member essential for the harmonious functioning of the whole. As we honor and nurture these connections, we follow the example and love of Christ and reflect His light to the world.
True connection requires vulnerability, authenticity, and selflessness. It beckons us to listen intently, empathize deeply, and extend grace abundantly. Through genuine connections, we glimpse the divine and experience the fullness of life as intended by our Creator. Let us cherish these sacred bonds, for in them, we find solace, strength, and the reflection of God's unfailing love.
