Devotion focus for Week 4

This week we don’t have Chapel due to Gympie Primary Leaders Day. However, classes are still enjoying learning around our Week 3 focus - Jesus is our friend!

Students are discovering what it means to have Jesus as a friend and how to reflect His friendship to others.

Memory Verse:

“I have called you friends.” – John 15:15

Key discussion points:

• Jesus chooses to be our friend.
• Good friends listen, care, and forgive.
• We can be Jesus’ friends to others through kindness.

Perhaps you can continue these discussions at home.

We would like to let you know that from Tuesday, our Early Years sandpit and playground area will be closed for the remainder of the week while we install new soft fall surfacing.

While this means the children will be unable to access the sandpit and playground during this time, our team will ensure that a variety of other outdoor play experiences are set up each day so the children can continue to enjoy engaging and active play. Some areas will be temporarily restricted, but we will make every effort to minimise disruption.

Please also note that several car parks will be unavailable during this period to allow contractors access through the gate to complete the installation. As parking will be more limited than usual, we kindly ask that families strictly use the car park as a 5-minute drop-off and pick-up zone.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we make these improvements to enhance the children’s outdoor environment. We are excited for them to enjoy the refreshed space very soon!

We’re excited to share that our 2025 Yearbooks have arrived and will be sent home this week.

Each 2025 family has received one yearbook per family, delivered home with the youngest child in the household. Be sure to check backpacks if you haven’t seen it yet. We hope your family enjoys looking back on all the moments that made 2025 so memorable.

Do you love horses? Represent Cooloola Christian College on our equestrian team! Compete, build skills, and have fun with fellow riders. Open to all riding levels. Riders will need to have their own horse and access to a float. If you are interested, please see Ms Bajema in Room D12 during break times on a Monday to find out more.
