Primary Chapel - You are the body of Christ
“You are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” — 1 Corinthians 12:27
This week we’re focusing on what it means to be part of God’s Church today. The early believers weren’t just people who met together — they were a community shaped by the Holy Spirit, committed to sharing Jesus and caring for one another. That same calling is ours now. We are part of God’s big story, and He invites each of us to play a meaningful role.
The Holy Spirit still helps us share Jesus with others, just as He did in the early Church. And just like those first believers, we are called to look out for one another, encourage one another, and use our gifts to build up God’s family. Every person — kids, parents, grandparents — has something valuable to offer.
As you go through the week, take a moment each day to pause and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. A simple prayer like, “Holy Spirit, help me show Your love today,” can open your eyes to opportunities to care for others.
Family Discussion for the Week
Here are a few simple prompts to help your family connect faith to everyday life:
- What does it mean to be part of God’s family — How does that shape the way we treat each other at home
- Where did you see someone caring for another person today — Celebrate moments of kindness
- How can our family share Jesus this week — Think small and practical
- What gifts has God given each of us — Talk about strengths and how they bless others
A Simple Family Challenge
Choose one way to live like the early Church this week: make a meal for someone, write a note of encouragement, pray for a friend, or invite someone into your home. Small acts of love help us live out the truth that we are the body of Christ.
And please remember, everyone is welcome to join us on Friday morning at 8:55am!
