As we come to the end of the term, we want to give a huge shout-out to our wonderful Chapel leaders – Ms North, Mr Buchanan and Mrs Dean – who faithfully lead worship each week. We are so encouraged by the growing Chapel band and the joy of hearing students singing songs of praise around the College. Thank you also to the many families who are playing these songs and singing along at home – it’s wonderful to see this shared experience continue beyond the school day.

This term, our Primary devotions have focused on God’s Big Picture – helping students understand that the whole Bible points to Jesus. From creation, to Jesus, and beyond, students have been exploring the Bible as one connected story that shows God’s love, His rescue plan, and the hope He offers.

Grounded in Luke 24:27, students have been discovering how every part of Scripture reveals who Jesus is and why He came. Along the way, they have been encouraged to see their own place within this big story – as people who are loved, valued, and invited to live with purpose and hope.

Bringing this into the home

You might like to continue these conversations at home in simple and meaningful ways:

• Ask your child what Bible story or song they’ve enjoyed recently and what it tells them about Jesus
• Listen to Chapel songs together in the car or at home and sing along
• Talk about moments in your day where you’ve seen kindness, forgiveness, or love in action
• Encourage your child to think about how they can show care and compassion to others each day

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our students, families, and staff for an amazing term. We are excited to end the term with our Athletics Carnival which is always an encouragement and uplifting community event.

Event Trials
As our College has grown, we have streamlined a number of events and completed trials with cohorts over recent weeks. Students selected to participate in High Jump and Triple Jump at the Athletics Carnival have been notified. We would like to commend all students for their enthusiastic participation during HPE lessons.

Running Events – Week 10

• Monday 22 June – 3000m (13–19 years), 7:30 am sharp
• Tuesday 23 June – 1500m (10–12 years), 7:30 am sharp

Athletics Carnival – All Welcome!
We would love to see all students attend, participate, and cheer on their peers. Athletics is a wonderful community event, and parents are warmly invited to join us. The full program is available below. A coffee van will be onsite Thursday and Friday mornings from approximately 9:30 am.

If you need to sign your child in or out during the day, please visit Administration or see staff at the First Aid tent.

Wednesday – 5–7 Year Olds

• Please do not place tuckshop orders, as students will be on the oval and not following a typical break schedule.
• Students may wear sports house colours (red, green, or blue). Clothing must be sun-safe with sleeves.
• Joggers or running shoes are required, and hats must be worn when not competing.

Thursday & Friday – 8–18 Year Olds

• All students must attend their first class for roll marking before heading to the oval with their teacher.
• Students may wear sports house colours (red, green, or blue), in line with CCC non-uniform guidelines.
• Clothing must be sun-safe and modest. Joggers or running shoes are required, and hats must also be worn when students are not competing.

Tuckshop Open
The tuckshop will be operating on Thursday and Friday.

Lost Property
There is currently a large amount of lost property. Items not collected will be donated at the end of term.

Bake Sale – Friday 19 June - outside SBH, 2nd Break

Come along and support our Year 12 students at their bake sale! A variety of delicious baked treats will be available, with prices ranging from $0.50 to $2.50.

All proceeds from the bake sale will go towards Destiny Rescue, supporting their work.

We are excited to announce that this year's Whole School Athletics Carnival will be held as a combined Primary and Secondary event across three days in Week 10.

The carnival will take place on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of Week 10, providing students with the opportunity to participate in a range of athletic events, demonstrate school spirit, and enjoy some friendly competition.

Please refer to the program below for detailed information regarding event schedules, year level participation, and carnival arrangements. We look forward to an enjoyable and successful athletics carnival for all students.

Vacation Care – Weeks 2 & 3 School Holidays

Our Vacation Care program will be running during Weeks 2 and 3 of the school holidays, from 6 July to 17 July.

Flexible session options are available to suit your family's needs:

• 11.5 Hour Session: 6:30am – 6:00pm
• 8 Hour Session: 8:00am – 4:00pm

With a variety of fun and engaging activities planned, Vacation Care is a great way for children to stay active, social, and entertained during the school holidays.
