Your presence at matters - at every age
Parenting educator Maggie Dent reminds us that no matter how old our children are, they all need connection, encouragement, and community. One of the most powerful ways we can provide that is by simply showing up.
Whether it’s a classroom reading session, a sports carnival, a parent–teacher meeting, or a school assembly, your presence sends a quiet but profound message: “You matter. Your world matters to me.” These moments build emotional security and reinforce the value of learning, friendship, and belonging.
When parents engage in school life, we help create an environment where children feel seen, safe, and supported - not just academically, but emotionally and spiritually.
Your involvement - big or small - helps build the kind of community that lifts everyone. So if there’s an opportunity to attend an event, volunteer in class, or support learning at home, we encourage you - lean in, not out. Your involvement helps build the kind of village every child needs to thrive.
