Cooloola Christian College is a great school, however, there are always ways to improve. Our goal is for every student to achieve their best in a safe, supportive, Christ-centred learning environment.

Your feedback will help us provide a quality education for your child(ren) and set the strategic directions for CCC over the coming years.

Our Semester 2 Learning Progress Meetings are scheduled for Monday, 4 August (Wk 3). This is a valuable opportunity to connect with your child’s teachers, celebrate their achievements, and set goals for future growth.

Meeting Locations:

• Secondary: L1 & L2
• Primary: Your child’s regular classroom

Please note: Students with current or future IEPs have a separate process for progress discussions, please do not book a session.

Who can attend?

• All parents and caregivers are encouraged to book a 10 minute session with the teachers they would like to meet with.
• Students are welcome to join at your discretion.
• Our teachers will be available between 3:15 – 7:00 pm.

How to book your meeting?
Bookings must be made through the Parent Orbit App; this allows families to select convenient times. Please note that bookings will close on Thursday 31st July at 3pm.

Simple booking steps:

1. Log in to Parent Orbit App
2. Select Parent Teacher Interviews on front screen
3. Click on your child’s name.
4. Choose a suitable time and confirm your booking.
   

If you need to cancel, please notify our Admin office at (5481 1000).

Little Arrows Playgroup Update

As the colder months bring sniffles and seasonal bugs

, Little Arrows will take a short break over the winter period. We’re planning to ease back into things with a couple of informal playdates in Spring, once the weather is warmer and little ones are feeling better.

Any special College events will be shared via email so you can still stay connected and join us if you wish.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Little Arrows. We look forward to gathering again soon — happy, healthy, and ready to play!

Senior Phase Information Night and Expo on Thursday August 7 (Wk3), 6:30-8:30pm in Stan Baker Hall.

All Yr10s and parents are encouraged to attend. During the night we will outline key information about the Senior Phase of Learning, subject options, QCE points and ATAR (tertiary entrance ranking). Significant time will also be available for families to speak with our senior subject teachers, and several training providers, university representatives and local employers.

Set Plan Interviews will take place - Monday 25 August to Wednesday 27 August. Book now in Parent Lounge

Sign-up for Instrumental Music, SHINE Dance, and Excellence in Musical Theatre is now open for Term 3, 2025, and only available through Parent Lounge/Orbit App, where up-front payment is required (individual lessons and instrument hire will be invoiced an extra amount after sign up).

Students who are currently enrolled in the program will also need to be enrolled through Parent Lounge, each term.

Instrumental Music:

Strings (Violin, viola, cello) - all year levels

Brass (trumpet, trombone, french horn, euphonium) - Years 4 - 12

Woodwind (flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone) - Years 4 - 12

Percussion - all year levels

Guitar and Bass Guitar - all year levels

Piano - all year levels

Vocal (singing lessons) - all year levels

SHINE Dance: Ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical - all year levels

Excellence in Musical Theatre (singing, dancing, acting) - Years 3 - 12

To secure your child's place in your chosen program, I encourage you to enrol as soon as possible, as places are limited in some areas due to teacher availability and timetabling considerations.

At CCC, we understand that every student learns differently, and some may benefit from extra support beyond the classroom. To help build confidence, reinforce key concepts, and stay on track with learning, we offer a range of Primary Tutoring Support options tailored to individual needs.

Students can access help from trusted local tutors such as Lynda Carlos and Troy Duffey, as well as reputable online providers including Kinetic Dedication and Kip McGrath. These options complement our commitment to Leading Learning and supporting the wellbeing of each child by creating a strong foundation for both academic and personal growth.
