You’re invited to our
Book Week Costume Parade!
This Friday 22nd August 8:50 – 9:35 am at Stan Baker Hall
We’re excited to invite all parents and families to join us for our Book Week Costume Parade as we celebrate the joy of reading together!
Come and cheer on our students as they showcase their creative costumes inspired by their favourite books. Families are warmly encouraged to dress up too — we’d love to see everyone get involved!
To honour our Christian values, we kindly ask that costumes do not include magical themed characters.
We look forward to seeing you there for a morning full of fun, imagination, and community spirit!
Book Fair continues this week in the Learning Hub.
Parents and families are welcome to come and explore a world of stories and fun – you can shop before and after school. It’s the perfect chance to spark your child’s love of reading and support our school!
Construction Club
For: Year 4–6 students
Venue: Secondary Industrial Classroom
When: Thursday Lunchtimes
Facilitator: Mr Ross Waltisbuhl (Trained Industrial Arts Teacher)
Students are invited to participate in a variety of engaging construction activities using hand tools and low-risk power tools (such as battery-operated drills). Projects will involve working with materials like timber, metal, plastics, and various household items.
All activities will be supervised by Mr Waltisbuhl, with assistance from trained secondary student volunteers. Students will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and hearing protection, when appropriate.
The purpose of the club is to foster a love for design, engineering, and hands-on construction in a fun and collaborative environment. Students will be able to take their individual projects home.
Our first project will be the construction of working model rockets. These rockets will be launched on the school oval under strict safety protocols.
Please note: There is no cost to participate.
Parental Consent Required:
Please read the above information carefully before logging onto Parent Lounge or the Parent Orbit App to give consent if your child would like to participate.
Please be informed of a recent change to the Glenwood/Gunalda Bus Service.
We are excited to welcome a new bus driver, Paul Shenton, who began driving the route on Monday, 18th August. Paul is a wonderful addition to our team, and we are confident he will provide a safe and smooth journey for all our students. For any inquiries or assistance, you can reach him directly at 0416 802 201.
A special thank you goes out to David Wright, our previous driver. While David will no longer be driving our regular route, we are pleased to let you know that we will continue to see him from time to time, as he will provide cover for CCC school runs when needed.
Please find the updated bus schedule below for your reference. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the updated bus service, please contact the Admin team - admin@ccc.qld.edu.au.
A reminder to families to please ensure that your child comes to school with their own hat. While we understand that occasionally hats may be forgotten, borrowing hats should be considered a last resort.
Thank you.

Little Arrows Playgroup Update
As the colder months bring sniffles and seasonal bugs
, Little Arrows will take a short break over the winter period. We’re planning to ease back into things with a couple of informal playdates in Spring, once the weather is warmer and little ones are feeling better.
Any special College events will be shared via email so you can still stay connected and join us if you wish.
Thank you for your ongoing support of Little Arrows. We look forward to gathering again soon — happy, healthy, and ready to play!
