This week in Chapel, students are reflecting on the Easter message through our memory verse: “Nothing can separate us from the love of God.” (Romans 8:39). We are exploring how Easter reminds us that Jesus’ love is so strong that nothing—not even death—can break it. Because of this, we can know we are always loved, always belong, and are never alone.

At school, this can look like showing kindness, including others, and holding onto hope when things feel challenging. At home, it might be choosing patience, forgiveness, and caring for one another in simple, everyday ways.

You might like to reinforce this message as a family by:

• Sharing one way you experienced or showed love each day
• Talking about what gives you hope when things feel hard
• Doing a small act of kindness for someone together

Our prayer is that this Easter message brings a sense of peace, joy, and connection to your family this week.

Our Whole School Cross Country is scheduled for Thursday 2 April – next week! Families and friends are welcome to join us at the Phil McLaren Oval (bottom oval) to cheer on our athletes. More details are linked below.

• Student can wear their CCC sports uniform or house colour (please adhere to our Uniform Policy)

To support the safety and organisation of our youngest students, we would like to remind families of the tuckshop procedures for Prep and Year 1. Prep and Year 1 students should not have money at school.

Prep Students
All tuckshop orders for Prep students must be placed through the Flexischools app or the brown paper bag system. If your child has a tuckshop voucher, please write your child’s order on the brown paper bag and place the voucher inside. If there is a balance payable, please include the required money in the bag.

Prep students will only go to the tuckshop to collect an ice block if they have a sticker placed on their brown paper bag by the tuckshop.

Year 1 Students
Year 1 students should not bring money to school and should not purchase items over the counter at the tuckshop. All orders should be placed through the Flexischools app or the brown paper bag system.

The only exception is if a Year 1 student has a tuckshop voucher. In this case, they may use the voucher to purchase an item over the counter.

Thank you for your support in following these procedures and helping our students develop safe and consistent tuckshop routines.

School photos are scheduled for Tuesday 24 and Wednesday 25 March.

Queensland School Photography will be on-site to take ID, class photos and special group throughout the two days. A timetable will be sent to you before the day.

Students must wear:

• full formal uniform;
• hair neat and tidy, with school-coloured accessories only;
• correct jewellery;
• light foundation only for girls (girls wearing excess makeup will be required to remove it on the day before photos).

Senior students are also required to wear blazers and ties.

Envelopes and information was sent home with students on 6 March. Please notify us ASAP if your student is not to be photographed for the group photos, as these are used in our Yearbook.

Please note that envelopes containing cash payment must be handed directly to the photographer on the day and will not be accepted by the college.
