The Sword of the Spirit – Learning God’s Word
As we reach this part of the term, we know that many families, and our students, may be feeling a little tired and ready for a break. This week, our chapel and devotions focus on “The Sword of the Spirit” and our CLEAR value of being LEARNERS.
Through Ephesians 6:17, students are reminded that God’s Word teaches us, guides us and gives us strength. We have explored how Jesus used Scripture when He was tired, hungry and tempted, and how learning God’s Word helps us make wise choices, stand strong and trust God in difficult moments.
As a family, perhaps take a few minutes this week to read a Bible verse together, talk about a time when God’s Word has helped you make a good choice, or simply pray together for strength and wisdom during this busy season.
How could this week’s focus uplift your family? When we are tired, God’s Word reminds us that we do not have to navigate life in our own strength. His Word is a light for our path and a source of hope, wisdom and encouragement.
“Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.” – Psalm 119:105
