As we approach the Easter season, we are reminded of the incredible sacrifice and victory of Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection are the foundation of our faith—a powerful demonstration of God’s love, grace, and redemption.

Easter is more than a holiday; it is an opportunity to reflect on the hope we have in Christ. As we prepare for this special time, may we encourage our children to embrace the true meaning of Easter, remembering that Jesus’ love is the greatest gift of all.

We pray that the upcoming holiday brings your family moments of peace, joy, and spiritual renewal. May your homes be filled with the hope of the resurrection, and may we return after the holidays refreshed and ready to continue growing in faith together.

Due to the persistent wet weather and further rain forecast, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our school Cross Country to ensure the safety of our students, staff and families. Regular classes will take place on Friday 4 April 2025 instead of the event originally scheduled. Students should attend school in their usual uniform. Please find more information below.

Dawn Service at 5.30am at Memorial Park – Student leaders are invited to attend with College leaders.

ANZAC Day March meeting at 8.30am – Students encouraged to represent the College and show support and appreciation for the service and bravery of our armed forces.

Community Service 10.15am at Memorial Park

• Drum Corp will be involved in both the ANZAC Day March and Community Service.
• CCC Young Voices and CCC Voices will participate in the Community Service.
• Students attending any of the ANZAC events should wear full formal uniform and hat.

Families will receive an email this week with further details.

Parents, there is an excess of lost property at the school, with many jackets, hats, jumpers, and water bottles left unclaimed. Please take a moment to check if any of these items may belong to your child and arrange for their collection. The items that remain uncollected will be donated at the end of Term 1.

This holiday period runs from Monday 7 April until Thursday 17 April. Please note, Friday 18 and Monday 21 April are public holidays. To request bookings email reception@cccearlylearning.com advising of the day/s and sessions you would like. We have 12-hour (6:30am-6:30pm) or 8-hour (8am-4pm) sessions available each day. If we are not advised of a session time we will book your child/ren in for the 12-hour session. Vacation Care places are strictly limited and once we reach capacity children will be added to our Waitlist. Please note that once a booking has been made it cannot be removed.

Sign up for Instrumental Music, SHINE Dance, and Excellence in Musical Theatre is now open for Term 2, 2025, and only available through Parent Lounge/Orbit App, where up-front payment is required (individual lessons and instrument hire will be invoiced an extra amount after sign up).

Students who are currently enrolled in the program will also need to be enrolled through Parent Lounge, each term.

Instrumental Music:

Strings (Violin, viola, cello) - all year levels

Brass (trumpet, trombone, french horn, euphonium) - Years 4 - 12

Woodwind (flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, alto saxophone, tenor saxophone) - Years 4 - 12

Percussion (drum kit, tuned percussion, auxiliary percussion) - all year levels

Guitar and Bass Guitar - all year levels

Piano - all year levels

Vocal (singing lessons) - all year levels

SHINE Dance:

Ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical

Excellence in Musical Theatre (singing, dancing, acting).

To secure your child's place in your chosen program, I encourage you to enrol as soon as possible, as places are limited in some areas due to teacher availability and timetabling considerations.

Our Musical Theatre and SHINE Dance students in years 2 - 6 will be participating in a free Queensland Ballet Workshop on Tuesday 20th May, from 1.30pm-2.30pm in the hall. There is an opportunity for a limited number of students in years 2 to 6 to join our dance and musical theatre students in this workshop.

Exciting News! Excellence in Sport Program Sign-Ups Now Open

We are thrilled to announce that sign-ups for all Excellence in Sport programs are now open! Our programs offer students the opportunity to develop their skills, stay active, and have fun in a supportive environment.

The following programs are available:

• Build (Secondary) – Wednesday mornings, 7:00 - 8:00 AM
• Futsal (Prep - Year 2) – Thursday afternoons, 3:00 - 4:00 PM
• Volleyball (Years 4 - 12) – Tuesday afternoons, 3:00 - 4:00 PM
• Mountain Bike Adventure Racing – See Mr. Pritchard for details
• Netball (Years 1 - 3) – Friday mornings, 7:30 - 8:30 AM
