This week in Primary Chapel, we are continuing our journey through the Armour of God, with a focus on The Sword of the Spirit — God’s Word helps us grow and our CLEAR value of being Excellent.

We’ll explore the story of Timothy, who was encouraged by Paul to keep learning, growing and using the gifts God had given him.

At CCC, we want our students to understand that excellence isn’t about being perfect or being the best. It is about giving our best effort, learning from our mistakes, developing the gifts God has given us and using what we learn to bless and serve others.

Join Us for Primary Chapel

We would love to have families join us in the Primary Village for Chapel this week. We’ll be singing some of our favourite worship songs together and celebrating the way God has created each of us with different gifts, abilities and opportunities to learn and grow.

Continue the Conversation at Home

As a family, you might like to discuss:

• What is something you are learning or getting better at?
• What is the difference between doing your best and being perfect?
• What gifts and abilities has God given you?
• How could you use something you are learning to help or serve someone else?

You could finish by praying together, thanking God for the opportunity to learn and grow, and asking Him to help each family member use their gifts with excellence, humility and a heart to serve others.

Get ready to celebrate the creativity, imagination and incredible skills of our students at our Arts and Industrial Showcase 2026, being held in Week 8, Thursday 10 and Friday 11 September in I Block – Art Room & I3.

The showcase features an exciting collection of student artworks, media pieces and industrial creations from students across Grades 7–12. Our students have been working hard to develop their ideas, refine their skills and create pieces they are proud to share with our school community.

We also have a couple of enthusiastic Year 8 students who don't currently study Visual Arts or Industrial subjects but wanted to get involved and be part of the action!

Come along, explore the exhibition and help us celebrate our talented students by voting for your favourite student work from each year level.

The exhibition rooms will be open and supervised for students and families at the following times:

• Before school: 8:00am – 8:45am
• After school: 3:00pm – 7:00pm (before the Musical)

So, grab your family, come through I Block and take a look at the amazing work our students have created.

Primary Chapel in the Village - As the beauty of spring begins to unfold around us, we invite our Primary families to join us for Chapel in the Primary Village.

Together, we'll gather outdoors to praise God, give thanks for His creation, and celebrate the new season He has brought. We would love for parents and carers to be part of this special time of worship and community. Bring a smile, enjoy the fresh spring air, and join us as we lift our voices in praise.

Students in years 10 and above are invited to submit expressions of interest for an Arts Careers Pathway Immersion Experience in Term 4 to Mrs Smith.

This one-day experience gives young people the opportunity to visit the home of Queensland Ballet, meet dancers, creatives and arts workers, participate in practical workshops and explore the diverse range of career pathways available across the arts and creative industries.

As we approach the end of the school term, we would like to ensure Secondary families are aware of two important policy updates: our new AI Policy and the Assessment Policy, which is now available.

These policies provide important information for students and families and can be accessed through the links below and via TASS → Policies.

We encourage families to take a few moments to review these policies so that everyone is informed and familiar with the expectations and guidelines in place.

At Cooloola Christian College, we believe every student has been uniquely gifted by God. Our Scholarship Program recognises students who demonstrate gifts, talents, character and potential, providing opportunities for them to flourish and make a meaningful contribution to our school community.

CCC offers scholarships across a range of areas, including:

Scholarships are awarded for the following school year and are subject to specific eligibility and ongoing requirements. Students receiving a scholarship are expected to continue demonstrating commitment, excellence and the values of the CCC Way throughout their scholarship tenure.

35 Year Celebration Committee Expression of Interest – Parents & Staff

Cooloola Christian College turns 35 in 2027!

We are looking for parents and staff to join the 35 Years of Blessings Celebration Committee and help us celebrate God’s faithfulness and the story of our College.

The committee will help plan a range of celebrations throughout 2027. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic, creative and willing to contribute to making 2027 a memorable year for our College community. No previous event-planning experience is necessary.

The first meeting will be held in early Term 4, 2026.
